I've been a "graphics professional" for over 16 years, not only as a freelance illustrator and designer but also
having held positions such as Lead Advertising Designer for a newspaper, Web Developer, Spec Ad Designer for a
yellow pages publisher, and Lead Artist on up to Creative Director for an internet company. I've been involved
in a wide range of diverse projects including illustrations for a trading card game, gag cartooning, illustrations
for magazines, t-shirt designs, designing and building web sites, advertising artwork, editorial cartooning,
and the full spectrum of corporate support design work.
My formal education includes graduating from commercial aviation school as well as a graphic design degree
from Washington State University. I also spent part of a year at the Art Institute of Seattle. I began my art
career using traditional methods and over the years have taught myself computer-based illustration and design.
I enjoy learning new things and staying current with computer technology definitely keeps me on my toes.
On the personal front, I've been married to my wife Tami for (wow) 13 years and we have four children:
Sarah Joy - 10, Joshua - 8, Cory - 5, and Aaron - 3. My hobbies, when I find time to do them, include computer
games, playing guitar, Tae Kwon Do, gardening, and sailing.
